Richmond 300

Past

The Richmond 300 process kicked off in the summer of 2017. From the initial stages through the plan’s adoption, PSG has contributed to the process, providing comment, raising issues when necessary, and trying to ensure that all Richmonders’ voices are heard. The documents linked here are examples of PSG’s advocacy around the planning planning process and calls for greater government transparency and inclusion.

Present

After the adoption of the Richmond 300 Master Plan in December 2020, members of the Richmond City Council committed to making amendments to the plan where necessary, beginning in early 2021. A set of amendments has been proposed by Council members, and is currently working its way through the City’s legislative process.

Future

A city’s master plan is a living document; exemplified by the fact that there are already amendments being made shortly after its adoption, elected officials have the power to mold the plan to better reflect the goals, priorities, and concerns of the City’s residents. PSG will stay on top of new developments with the plan, and keep you up to date with any proposed changes.
